A one step, column based system for removing free detergents from protein solutions in under 10 minutes. Protein solutions containing detergents are loaded onto a DetergentOUT™ DTG-100X column and spun to elute the detergent free protein solution. Protein recovery is generally >95%, however, when used for highly hydrophobic proteins, depending on their hydrophobicity, some protein may be lost due to the interaction with the column matrix. For removal of detergents from hydrophobic proteins, use of OrgoSol DetergentOUT™ (Cat. # 786-127, 786-128) is recommended.
The DetergentOUT™ DTG-100X is suitable for a wide variety of detergents, including Triton® X-100, Nonidet® P-40, Tween® 20, CTAB, CHAPS, and deoxycholate from protein solutions.
