Molecular biology enzymes because of poor stability require cold or dry ice shipping and are therefore expensive to purchase and maintain. Recognizing these difficulties the scientists at G-Biosciences have developed procedures to stabilize a wide variety of molecular biology enzymes. These stabilized enzymes are offered as LongLife enzymes.
The stabilized LongLife molecular biology enzymes are highly stable, do not require dry ice or refrigeration during shipping and are easy to store and use. The LongLife enzymes are stable for a year. The LongLifeenzymes are offered in convenient unit size that minimizes waste and suitable for education laboratories.  Currently we have several restriction enzymes and a ligation enzyme available in the LongLife format.

LongLife Restriction Enzymes
Restriction enzymes are routinely used in molecular biology for the digestion of DNA at specific sites (restriction sites). LongLife Restriction enzymes are offered.  These enzymes do not require dry ice or refrigerated shipping, are stable at ambient temperature and stable for a year.
The LongLife enzymes are offered in convenient 20 unit sizes, suitable for 20 separate reactions. The LongLifeRestriction enzymes available and their restriction sites are:

LongLife Ligation Enzymes
Ligation enzymes are routinely used in molecular biology for joining (ligating) of DNA strands during molecular cloning. T4 DNA Ligase is one of the regularly used ligation enzymes and ligates blunt and overhanging (sticky) DNA ends.
LongLife T4 DNA Ligase Enzyme is a highly efficient ligation enzyme that does not require dry ice or refrigeration during shipping, is stable at ambient temperature and stable for a year.  Supplied as 75 units, which is sufficient for approximately 30 ligations.

FEATURES & APPLICATIONS
    • Dry ice or refrigerated shipping not required.
    • Stable for one year.
    • Extreme cold storage not required.
    • Small sizes to minimize waste.
