The Polymerase Chain Reaction, or PCR, is routinely used for teaching amplification of tiny amounts of DNA, or genes.  PCR grade reagents are offered in stabilized or dry forms for greater stability and convenience of use in educational setting:
 
Taq DNA polymerase: A thermostable DNA polymerase that possesses a 5´g3´ polymerase activity and a double-strand specific 5´g3´ exonuclease activity. Offered as a convenient 25 unit
size, suitable for 10 separate PCR reactions.

Taq Reaction Buffer: A complete 10X reaction buffer for successful PCR reactions.  Each vial sufficient for 10 PCR reactions.

Deoxynucleotides (dNTPs): An optimized, equimolar mix of ultrapure deoxynucleotides (dATP, dCTP, dGTP, dTTP).  No mixing of individual deoxynucleotides required.  Simply resuspend in water and add directly to the PCR reaction.  Suitable for 10 PCR reactions.

Mineral Oil: Non reactive mineral oil, to overlay the PCR reactions to prevent evaporation if the PCR machine lacks a heated lid. 

PCR tubes:  Thin walled 0.2ml PCR tubes.  Specifically manufactured for optimal PCR reactions.  Available in convenient 100 tube packs.
