A versatile microprocessor power supply unit for vertical and horizontal gel electrophoresis. Programmable power supply has the following features.

- The unit is capable of producing up to 250 volts, 400mA and 100 watts.
- Designed to operate at a constant voltage or constant current.
- The unit is capable of programming up to 10 methods.
- The power supply unit is provided with the option to set audio-alarm at the end of a program.
- Safety features include shrouded plugs and sockets, no load detect, and leaking detect.
- Accepts both 110 to 240 volts power in-put sources.
