Lectin Purification

G-Biosciences offer a range of products for the rapid purification of lectins, galactosidases and other galactose-binding molecules. Ideal for the purification of agglutinins, lectins, toxins, galactose-binding, N-acetylgalactosamine-binding or carbohydrate binding molecules.

Immobilized D-galactose resin consists of 6% beaded agarose that is covalently coupled to thio-α-D-galactose and has a binding capacity of >20mg jacalin per millimeter of settled resin.

Purification of N-acetyl-D-galactosamine/ D-galactose specific lectins and carbohydrate binding proteins/enzymes is consistent and affordable with N-Acetyl-D-Galactosamine Agarose. Examples of N-acetyl-D-galactosamine specific lectins are lectin from Glycine max, Dolichos biflorus, Ricinus communis agglutinin, Peanut agglutinin, Jacalin etc.

N-Acetyl-D- Glucosamine Agarose is used in purification of N-acetyl-D- glucosamine specific lectins and carbohydrate binding proteins/enzymes. Examples of N-acetyl-D- glucosamine specific lectins are wheat germ agglutinin, elderberry lectin, Maackia amurensis lectin, etc.

Also available are a variety of empty columns for spin column chromatography, gravity-flow chromatography, spin column chromatography, and FPLC.
