Yeast/ Fungal ProteaseArrest
Inhibits
serine, cysteine and yeast and fungal specific proteases, including aspartic
and metalloproteases.
Yeast/ Fungal ProteaseArrest contains
agents to inhibit serine,
cysteine and yeast and fungal specific proteases, including aspartic and
metalloproteases. Yeast/ Fungal ProteaseArrest contains
both irreversible and reversible protease inhibitors and an optional EDTA
solution is provided for enhanced inhibition of metalloproteases.
Due to the optimized
concentration of the various inhibitors, Yeast/
Fungal ProteaseArrest shows excellent and specific inhibition of both
yeast and fungal protease activities and is therefore suitable for the
protection of proteins during preparation of samples and protein purification
from yeast and fungi.
Yeast/ Fungal ProteaseArrest is supplied with an
optional EDTA solution for the enhanced inhibition of metalloproteases and to
preserve the activity of proteins that require divalent cations (Ca2+,
Mg2+, or Mn2+) for their biological activity. Furthermore, EDTA interferes with IMAC
(immobilized metal affinity chromatography), a common purification technique,
so the optional EDTA can be omitted if IMAC is to be used. Yeast/
Fungal ProteaseArrest protease cocktail contains a specific metalloprotease inhibitor.
Ready-to-use solution: Simply
add an appropriate volume of Yeast/
Fungal ProteaseArrest in protein extract or extraction buffer to inhibit
protease activity.
Supplied
as a 100X solution, recommend 1X for final sample volume.
