2x YT Broth, 2% Glucose is a microbial growth medium commonly used for cultivation of E. coli . The 2x YT medium is rich in nutrients such as peptides, amino acids, and water-soluble vitamins, contains 2% glucose and has low concentration of salts.

Features:

• Composition: 1.6 % Tryptone, 1% Yeast Extract, 0.5 % sodium chloride and 2% Glucose.
• Sterile filtered using 0.2 μ filter unit.
• pH is adjusted to 6.8±0.2
• available in 1 L and 10 x 1 L sizes.

Application(s)

• Suitable for cultivation of E.coli for cloining, DNA plasmid production and production of recombinant proteins
