Cephalexin hydrate
Cephalexin is a first generation cephalosporin antibiotic most effective against gram-positive cocci. However, it also exhibits efficacy against some gram-negative bacilli. In addition, cephalexin has been used to study the penicillin binding proteins, especially PBP3.
