Clavulanic acid, lithium salt or lithium clavulanate is an irreversible inhibitor of β-lactamase class A enzymes, which target β-lactam antibiotics. Clavulanic acid, lithium salt has been shown operate more efficiently with ceftazidime and amoxicillin antibiotics.
