DOG1 Antibody IHC

This antibody is intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.

The DOG1 (IHC562) antibody is intended for qualified laboratories to qualitatively identify by light microscopy the presence of associated antigens in sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections using IHC test methods. Use of this antibody is indicated, subsequent to clinical differential diagnoses of diseases, as an aid in the identification and diagnosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) within the context of antibody panels, the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic tests evaluated by a qualified pathologist.

DOG1, also known as Discovered on GIST-1, is a marker that highly specific for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Anti-DOG1 is extremely sensitive for the detection of GIST and its diagnosis. Although some GIST stain weakly for c-kit, DOG1 is expressed in the vast majority of GIST cases. Reports have also indicated DOG1 as a marker for salivary acinar and intercalated duct differentiation.
