This kit is designed to teach 8 groups of four students the principles of protein concentration estimation assays. The kit contains the reagents to allow students to:
- Conduct a serial dilution of a stock amylase solution to create standards of known concentration
- Use a Bradford protein assay to establish a standard curve of protein concentration
- Use the standard curve to determine the concentration of two unknown amylase solutions
Features
- For 8 groups of 4 students
- Requires micropipettes and tips
- Optional requirement for a spectrophotometer
Applications
- HS-LS1: From Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes
- LS1.A: Structure and Function
