Mode of Action: G-418 inhibits protein elongation by blocking polypeptide synthesis. Eukaryotic cells that are stably transfected with neomycin resistance genes can be selected and maintained using this product. Similar in structure to Gentamicin, Neomycin, and Kanamycin.
