HOOK™ Maleimide Activated Alkaline Phosphatase

Alkaline Phosphatase is a hydrolase enzyme, which is frequently conjugated to antibodies for its use in immunoassays. p-Nitrophenol phosphate (pNPP) is the most commonly used substrate for Alkaline Phosphatase. Alkaline Phosphatase converts pNPP to p-nitrophenol phosphate (pNP), a colored product, which can measured calorimetrically at 405 nm. Fluorogenic substrates such as 4-methyllumbelliferyl phosphate (MUP) can also be used for the immunoassay.

G-Biosciences HOOK™ Maleimide Activated Alkaline Phosphatase is offered to enable its conjugation with antibodies or any other protein containing sulfhydryl (-SH) groups. Alkaline Phosphatase is maleimide activated using Sulfo-SMCC, a heterobifunctional crosslinker, which adds a free maleimide group which reacts with sulfhydryl containing molecules.

Features:

  • Sulfo SMCC activated Sterptavidin.
  • Sulfhydryl Reactive: Conjugates with molecules containing reduced thiol (-SH) groups.
  • Available as ready to use 1 mg lyophilized vial.

Application(s):

  • HOOK™ Maleimide Activated Alkaline Phosphatase is used for conjugation with antibodies for immunoassays.
