Protease Inhibitors

G-Biosciences offer an extensive range of protease inhibitor cocktails and ready-to-use protease inhibitors. Our ProteaseARREST™ line of protease inhibitor cocktails are highly potent, liquid format cocktails that are ready-to-use, highly stable and eliminate waste. These cocktails are suitable for protein purification when added to cell lysis and protein extraction buffers:

  • ProteaseARREST™ is a broad spectrum, general use, 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktail. The cocktail contains a mix of reversible and irreversible inhibitors of serine, cysteine, calpain and metallo-proteases. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 0.3µM Aprotinin, 3µM Bestatin, 5.25µM Leupeptin and 1mM PMSF in DMSO with optional 5mM EDTA. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 24 x 100µl, 2ml, 5ml, 10ml and 5 x 10ml vials.
  • Species Specific ProteaseARREST™ are 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktails and feature the following:
    • Bacterial ProteaseARREST™ for bacterial cell extracts. A 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktail featuring bacterial serine, cysteine and other bacterial specific proteases including aminopeptidases and aspartic proteases. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 3µM Bestatin, 14µM E-64, 1µM Pepstatin A and 1mM PMSF in DMSO with optional 5mM EDTA. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 1ml and 5ml vials.
    • Mammalian ProteaseARREST™ for mammalian cells and tissue extracts. A 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktail featuring mammalian serine, cysteine and other mammalian specific proteases including aminopeptidases, trypsin-like and aspartic proteases. The 1X composition is 668µm AEBSF, 0.3µM Aprotinin, 3µM Bestatin, 14µM E-64, 5.25µM Leupeptin, 1µM Pepstatin A and 1mM PMSF in DMSO with optional 5mM EDTA. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 1ml and 5ml vials.
    • Plant ProteaseARREST™ for plant cells and tissue extracts. A 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktail featuring plant serine, cysteine and other plant specific proteases including aminopeptidases, aspartic and metalloproteases. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 3µM Bestatin, 14µM E-64, 5.25µM Leupeptin, 1µM Pepstatin A, 2mM 1,10-Phenathroline and 1mM PMSF in DMSO. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 1ml and 5ml vials.
    • Yeast/Fungal ProteaseARREST™ to inhibit yeast and fungal serine, cysteine and metalloproteases. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 14µM E-64, 1µM Pepstatin A, 2mM 1,10-Phenathroline and 1mM PMSF in DMSO. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 1ml and 5ml vials.
  • Recom ProteaseARREST™ is broad range, bacterial, 100X concentrated, ready-to-use protease inhibitor cocktail specifically designed for use in the purification of recombinant proteins from bacteria and is fully compatible with His tag protein purification with IMAC. The protease inhibitor cocktail inhibits bacterial serine, cysteine, metallo- and other bacterial specific proteases including aminopeptidases and aspartic proteases. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 1mM 1,10-Phenathroline, 1mM Benzamidine, 1mM Iodoacetamide, 1µM Pepstatin A  and 1mM PMSF in DMSO. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in 1ml and 5ml vials.
  • TCM ProteaseARREST™ is broad range, 200X concentrated, ready-to-use protease inhibitor cocktail that is sterile filtered for tissue culture media (TCM). The inhibitor cocktail is designed to protect secreted proteins during cell culture for up to 48 hours. The 1X composition is 0.6µM Aprotinin, 58µM Bestatin, 28µM E-64, 10.5µM Leupeptin and 2.1µM Pepstatin A  in DMSO. Supplied as a 200X sterile filtered DMSO solution in 1ml and 2ml vials.
  • FOCUS™ ProteaseARREST™ is a highly potent protease inhibitor designed for sensitive downstream proteomic analysis, including 2D and mass spec. The use of an alternative metalloprotease to EDTA allows for optimal action of nucleases to remove interfering nucleic acids and has an alternative to AEBSF (Pefabloc®) that has been shown to result in artifacts in mass spec. The 1X composition is 340µM AEBSF, 0.3µM Aprotinin, 1.45µM Bestatin, 3.4µM Calpain Inhibitor I, 5.25µM Leupeptin, 17µM Phosphoramidon and 1mM PMSF in DMSO. Supplied as a 100X DMSO solution in a 1ml vial.

Our ProteCEASE™ protease inhibitor cocktail line are dry format cocktail designed for extended shelf life and one shot additions to 50 and 100ml lysis buffer.  The ProteCEASE™ are supplied with or without EDTA and with a ProteCEASE™ buffer to resuspend the protease inhibitors. The 1X composition is 668µM AEBSF, 0.3µM Aprotinin, 3µM Bestatin, 5.25µM Leupeptin and 1mM PMSF in DMSO with optional 5mM EDTA. Supplied as single, 10 or 20 vials suitable for 50 or 100ml lysis buffer.
