Antibody Production & Purification

The use of peptides for the generation of antibodies against specific peptides has become an essential tool in proteomic research. The most common carrier proteins are bovine serum albumin (BSA) and keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).

We offer a wide variety of carrier proteins for the successful generation of antibodies. Our ActiveHOOKproducts include both ActiveHOOK BSA (maleimide activated bovine serum albumin) and ActiveHOOKKLH (maleimide activated keyhole limpet hemocyanin). Both rapidly couple to free sulfhydryl groups on peptides and proteins using just one simple step. These activated carrier proteins save both time and money as separate cross-linkers are not required. Our HyperCarrier uses cationized BSA which has been found to elicit greater immunogenic response compared to normal BSA.

HOOK™  kits are also available for the coupling of peptides to carrier proteins. Both amine reactive and sulfhydryl reactive HOOKPeptide Coupling Kits are offered.

Thiophilic adsorption or thiophilic chromatography is a routinely used technique for the low cost, simple purification of immunoglobulins.  Thiophilic adsorption was first developed by Porath et al1 in 1984 and is a group specific, salt-dependent purification technique that has distinct affinit..

The Carbohydrate Coupling Resin (Hydrazide resin) is designed for the simple and efficient coupling of glycoproteins to a solid agarose support through oxidized sugar groups. The coupling is through the hydrazide group that is immobilized to agarose beads. The resin is ideal for immobilized polyclon..

Model:
Freund’s Complete Adjuvant (FCA), also known as Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA), comprises non-metabolizable oils like paraffin and mannide monooleate, and heat killed mycobacteria. These non-metabolizale oils help in formation of water in oil emulsion with aqueous antigen which helps in ..

Model:
Freund’s Incomplete Adjuvant, also known as Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA), lacks the heat-killed mycobacteria present in Freund’s Complete Adjuvant.   Freund’s Incomplete Adjuvant comprise of non-metabolizable oil, paraffin and the surfactant mannide monooleate...

The amine reactive HOOK™ Activated Agarose is 6% agarose that has been activated to generate reactive aldehyde groups. The aldehyde groups of the agarose react spontaneously with primary amines, located at the N-terminus of proteins or in lysine residues, to form intermediate Schiff Base compl..

Immobilized Protein A is for binding the constant domains of immunoglobulin (Ig) molecules (see Figure 1). Protein A is coupled to agarose beads by reductive amination method that provides high coupling efficiency for immunoglobulins and minimal protein A leaching (<5ng protein A/ml). Our im..

Commercially available antibodies are mostly stored in buffers containing antibody stabilizers, such as BSA and Gelatin, or other amine containing buffering agents, such as tris, that may interfere in downstream applications of antibodies. These proteins and buffering agents can interfere with label..

The Sulfhydryl Coupling Resin, or Iodoacetyl resin,  is designed for the simple and efficient coupling of peptides and proteins to a solid 6% agarose support through free sulfhydryl groups (-SH). The iodoacetyl groups of the Sulfhydryl Coupling Resin specifically react with free sulfhydryl..
