Immobilized Bacitracin

Bacitracin is a peptide antibiotic and shows antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria. It inhibits bacterial cells wasll synthesis by inhibiting dephosphorylation of lipid pyrophosphate.
 

Immobilized Bacitracin is made by covalently coupling bacitracin to 6% cross linked agarose and is used for isolating bacitracin binding proteins, receptors and specific antibodies.
