Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) is used in cultivation of wide variety of microorganisms including several fastidious organisms without the need of serum. Organisms such as Clostridia and non-sporulating anaerobes grow luxuriantly in this broth when incubated under anaerobic conditions. Tryptic Soy Broth [USP Grade] conforms to the USP grade. It is a general-purpose medium and not intended for use in diagnosis or other conditions in human.

  • Composition: 1.7 % Tryptone, 0.3 % Soytone, 0.25% Glucose, 0.25% Potassium Phosphate Dibasic and 0.5% Sodium chloride, pH: 7.3±0.2
  • Sterile filtered using 0.05 micron filter units.
  • available in 1 L and 10x 1 L sizes

  • Used for testing bacterial contaminants in cosmetics.
