PBS, Phosphate Buffered Saline, Sterile, [1X & 10X]

10X PBS (Phosphate Buffered Saline)  is a 10 fold concentrated, sterile, pH adjusted blend of phosphate buffer and saline solution, which when diluted 1 to 10 in ultrapure water produces a phosphate buffered saline of  8mM NaH₂PO₄, 150mM NaCl, 3mM KCl, and 2mM KH₂PO₄ at pH 7.4. The 10X solution is a sterile solution. 

1X PBS (Phosphate Buffered Saline)  is a ready-to-use, sterile, pH adjusted blend of phosphate buffer and saline solution of 8mM NaH₂PO₄, 150mM NaCl, 3mM KCl, and 2mM KH₂PO₄ at pH 7.4. 

Pre-mixed dry powder buffer packs are also available, including 1X PBS, 1X PBS with Tween 20, Dulbecco’s PBS and 10X PBS.

Composition

• 1X: 8mM NaH₂PO_4, 150mM NaCl, 3mM KCl, 2mM KH₂PO4 (pH 7.4)
• 10X: 80mM NaH₂PO₄ 1.5M NaCl, 30mM KCl, 20mM KH₂PO₄
