This truncated enzyme exhibits higher specific activity compared to the full length enzyme and is a 3´-5´ exoribonuclease that efficiently digests linear RNA molecules, leaving lariat, circular and double-stranded RNAs with short (<7 nt) 3´ overhangs intact.
