IMPORTANT NOTE This product is custom manufactured with a lead time of 3-4 weeks. Once in production, this item cannot be cancelled from an order and is not eligible for return. Target Protein RRBP1 Clonality Polyclonal Storage/Stability -20°C/1 year Application WB,ELISA Recommended Dilution WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000 Concentration 1 mg/ml Reactive Species Human,Mouse Host Species Rabbit Immunogen Synthesized peptide derived from human protein . at AA range: 1120-1200 Specificity RRBP1 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of protein. Purification The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen Form Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, and 0.02% sodium azide. Gene Name RRBP1 KIAA1398 Accession No. Q9P2E9 Q99PL5 Description ribosome binding protein 1(RRBP1) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a ribosome-binding protein of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. Studies suggest that this gene plays a role in ER proliferation, secretory pathways and secretory cell differentiation, and mediation of ER-microtubule interactions. Alternative splicing has been observed and protein isoforms are characterized by regions of N-terminal decapeptide and C-terminal heptad repeats. Splicing of the tandem repeats results in variations in ribosome-binding affinity and secretory function. The full-length nature of variants which differ in repeat length has not been determined. Pseudogenes of this gene have been identified on chromosomes 3 and 7, and RRBP1 has been excluded as a candidate gene in the cause of Alagille syndrome, the result of a mutation in a nearby gene on chromosome 20p12. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012], Protein Expression Brain,Epithelium,Pancreas,Uterus, Subcellular Localization endoplasmic reticulum, ribosome, membrane, integral component of endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Protein Function Additional isoforms seem to exist. Additional isoforms are probable deriving from alternative splicing in the repeat region, function:Acts as a ribosome receptor and mediates interaction between the ribosome and the endoplasmic reticulum membrane., Usage For Research Use Only! Not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. - Reviews
