Mode of action and Anti-microbial spectrum: Ticarcillin is an inhibitor of bacterial cell wall synthesis. It inhibits the crosslinking of peptidoglycan by binding and inactivating of transpeptidases. High activity against gram-negative bacteria and the combination is effective against resistant Agrobacterium strains.
