T4 RNA Ligase II

T4 RNA Ligase II (gp24.1) repairs nicks in dsRNA and can also be used to ligate the 3´terminal OH of RNA to the 5´-terminal phosphate of DNA in a double-stranded structure.  T4 RNA Ligase II will also join the 3'-end of RNA or DNA to a 5'-pDNA when annealed to an RNA complement, and, with reduced efficiency, the 3'-end of RNA to a 5'-pRNA when annealed to an DNA complement.
