Description
Immobilized Methotrexate is designed for affinity purification of enzyme dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR). DHFR has been purified from a variety of sources by conventional protein purification procedures. However due to small amount of DHFR activity present in cells and tissues, the conventional methods result in low yield. Methotrexate acts as a potent inhibitor of DHFR. Therefore, the Immobilized Methotrexate binding of DHFR results in higher yields and high purity.
