Immobilized N6-(4-Aminobenzyl)Adenosine is made by  covalent coupling of N6-(4-Aminobenzyl)Adenosine with 6% cross-linked agarose beads.  Immobilized N6-(4-Aminobenzyl)Adenosine is used in purification of A2-adenosine receptors.

Affinity Resin Preparation

Attachment of affinity ligands to immobilized supports can be accomplished using a wide variety of coupling chemistries, different linkers, and various ligand orientations to attach the ligand to the support. The linkers, ligand orientation, and coupling chemistry used can have widely varying effects on the affinity ligand's ability to bind to the desired target molecule during purification. The binding of a particular target using conditions established with another, similar resin may not always correlate directly. As such, optimization of the purification conditions may be required by the end user to achieve the desired results.

We have seen from previous studies that the linker molecule and ligand orientation used can have a significant influence on the purification results. GBio can manufacture affinity resins using any combination of coupling chemistry and linker to provide custom solutions for your research. Please inquire about our custom synthesis options.
