This kit is designed to teach 8 groups of four students the principles of ELISA (Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assays).
The kit contains the reagents to allow students to:
- Conduct a serial dilution of a stock amylase solution to create standards of known concentration
- Bind known and unknown amylase samples to ELISA wells
- Wash and recognize amylase protein with an enzyme-labeled antibody
- Detect amylase-bound, enzyme-labeled antibody with a colored substrate
- Quantify the amount of amylase protein in unknown samples by using a standard curve of known amylase concentrations
Features
- For 8 groups of 4 students
- Requires micropipettes and tips
- Optional requirement for a plate reader
Applications
- HS-LS1: From Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes
- LS1.A: Structure and Function
