G-Dots™ Lyophilized Proteinase K 1mg/bead and 250ug/bead formats are a convenient and simple way to introduce Proteinase K into your process. Lyophilized proteinase K beads provide a consistent concentration which eliminates a weighing step, improving the efficiency of your process. Lyophilization improves the stability of proteinase K and allows for RT storage, freeing up valuable space in your 4º and -20º refrigerators and freezers.
Our Proteinase K is derived from Parengyodontium album and is a broad spectrum high specific activity endopeptidase. These beads are ideal for applications that require the digestion of proteins that degrade DNA and RNA. The Proteinase K is active under a wide range of conditions including the presence of SDS or high temperatures. The recombinant enzyme is expressed in Pichia pastoris.
