Immobilized Cloxacillin

​Cloxacillin antibiotic binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cells wall and inhibits the third amd last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. It is used against stphyloccoci that produce beta-lactamase.

Immobilized Cloxacillin is made by covalently coupling cloxacillin to 6% cross linked agarose and is used for isolating cloxacillin binding proteins, receptors and specific antibodies.
