LB Broth, Animal-Free Soytone

LB Broth, Animal-Free Soytone is Miller formulation of bacterial culture medium which contains animal free soy hydrolysate instead of Tryptone which is an animal source. LB Broth, Animal-Free Soytone provides better lot-to-lot consistency when compared LB Broth with tryptone. It is suitable for applications where the use of animal products poses a safety hazard and undesirable contamination.

Features:

• Miller’s LB broth free of animal component
• Composition:  1.7% Animal-free Soytone, 0.5 % Yeast extract and 1 % sodium chloride, pH 6.5-7.2 
• Sterile filtered using 0.2 μ filter unit.
• Available in 1 L and 10 x 1 L sizes.
• Botted in high quality sterile PETG bottles

Applications:

•  Used for cultivation of E. coli  for plasmid purification, recombinant protein production and cloning.
• Suitable for applications where the use of animal products pose a safety hazard and undesirable contamination.
