Metabolic Hormones
Metabolic hormones are a class of circulating proteins that regulate energy metabolism and maintain integrated physiology in the body. They are produced by non-classical endocrine organs such as adipose tissue, liver and muscle, and are thus termed adipokines, hepatokines, myokines, etc., respectively. Metabolic hormones circulate in the blood and regulate glucose and lipid metabolisms in target organs. Dysregulations of metabolic hormones are associated with metabolic diseases such as obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes, etc.
G-Biosciences offers an increasing number of metabolic hormones reflecting the up-to-date scientific discoveries in the literature. Newly added members include leptin, adiponectin, resistin, FGF21 and GDF15, etc. Our stringent quality control standards guarantee purity greater than 95% and endotoxin level smaller than 0.1 ng/μg for every product, enable the hormones suitable for both in vitro and in vivo studies.
