Protease Inhibitors

G-Biosciences offer an extensive range of protease inhibitor cocktails and ready-to-use protease inhibitors. Our ProteaseARREST™ line of protease inhibitor cocktails are highly potent, liquid format cocktails that are ready-to-use, highly stable and eliminate waste. These cocktails are suitable for protein purification when added to cell lysis and protein extraction buffers. The table below shows the composition and primary use for the ProteaseARREST™ cocktail line, but in summary:

  • ProteaseARREST™ is a broad spectrum, general use, 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktail. The cocktail contains a proprietary mix of reversible and irreversible inhibitors of serine, cysteine, calpain and metallo-proteases.
  • Species Specific ProteaseARREST™ are 100X concentrated protease inhibitor cocktails and feature the following:
  • Recom ProteaseARREST™ is broad range, bacterial, 100X concentrated, ready-to-use protease inhibitor cocktail specifically designed for use in the purification of recombinant proteins from bacteria and is fully compatible with His tag protein purification with IMAC.
  • TCM ProteaseARREST™ is broad range, 200X concentrated, ready-to-use protease inhibitor cocktail sterile filtered for tissue culture media (TCM). The inhibitor cocktail is designed to protect secreted proteins during cell culture for up to 48 hours.
  • FOCUS™ ProteaseARREST™ is a highly potent protease inhibitor designed for sensitive downstream proteomic analysis, including 2D and mass spec. The use of an alternative metalloprotease to EDTA allows for optimal action of nucleases to remove interfering nucleic acids and has an alternative to AEBSF (Pefabloc®) that has been shown to result in artifacts in mass spec.

Our ProteCEASE™ protease inhibitor cocktail line are dry format cocktail designed for extended shelf life and one shot additions to 50 and 100ml lysis buffer.  The ProteCEASE™ are supplied with or without EDTA and with a ProteCEASE™ buffer to resuspend the protease inhibitors.
