Detergents & Accessories

G-biosciences provide a wide array of proteomic grade detergents, detergent removal systems, and detergent quantitation kits.

Our Proteomic Grade Detergent Solutions have ultra low carbonyl and peroxide contaminants and low conductivity to protect your protein during isolation and several non-ionic detergents are offered, including Triton X-100, Brij 35, and Tween 20.

In addition, a large number of research grade ionic detergents and non-ionic detergents are offered, including sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and Nonidet P-40 (NP40) Substitute.

For protein isolation for 2D electrophoresis, we offer highly pure 2D-Detergents and a range of Zwitterionic detergents, including CHAPS, sulfobetaines and amidosulfobetaines.

Our Detergent Removal Systems remove a large selection of detergents, including SDS, from a variety of protein solutions.

In addition to detergent removal, a selection of detergent assays are available.  The simple fluorescent assay, CMC-535™  Detergent Assay is designed for the detection of various detergents in aqueous solutions. A simple hydrophobic dye solubilization method for the determination of critical micelle concentration (CMC) is Optimizer blueBALLS.  And for estimating SDS concentrations between 0.02-0.2% try SDS Detection & Estimation Reagent Kit.
